Catalinbread

Catalinbread is a boutique pedal builder from Portland, Oregon, founded in 2004 and named after the island where the founder grew up. The brand is known for circuits that recreate a specific amplifier, tape echo or studio device — the "Foundation" overdrives are named after the amp circuit they emulate, and the reverbs and delays trace back to tape echoes and spring reverbs from the same era. Alongside those historical lines, Catalinbread also releases idiosyncratic, standalone designs such as the octave fuzz Octapussy and the compressor Nicompressor. Nearly the whole range is built in the US and is available in the Benelux at a handful of specialist shops.
