This site counts how many people visit and how often someone clicks through to a shop. That is all. Here is exactly what that means.
No cookies, no trackers
There is no ad network on this site and no analytics service run by another company. Nothing is stored on your device.
What we record
When you click through to a shop we record which shop, which model and the time. Of the visit itself we count which pages are viewed, and if you arrive from a search engine or another site, which site that was — not what you searched for. All of it comes from the log the web server keeps anyway; there is no measurement script in the pages.
How we count without following you
To tell whether two clicks come from the same person, we turn your IP address and browser type into a code. We do not keep the IP address itself. The key we use to make that code is replaced every month. After that the code cannot be linked to anything — not even by us.
How long we keep it
We summarise the raw click data every night and then delete it. The web server log we leave as our hosting company manages it; we only read along. What we keep are counts. The list of codes we use to avoid counting anyone twice within a month expires at the end of that month.
Who else sees it
Your request passes through Cloudflare, which secures and speeds up the site, and through our hosting company. Both need your request in order to serve the page. Beyond that we share nothing and sell nothing.
Your rights
You may ask what data we hold about you and have it deleted. In practice we hold nothing that lets us find you, and that is the point. You can reach us at info@pedalpricewatch.com. If you disagree with something, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
