Catalinbread modulation
The classic modulation effects sit here alongside two idiosyncratic designs. Callisto MKII (chorus/flanger), Wake (eight-voice chorus with octave), Many Worlds (phaser) and Tremolo8 (eight tremolos with reverb) follow familiar effect types but with more voices or modes than usual; the STS-88 adds a flanger with built-in reverb to that group. Bitters and Coriolis Effect depart from that: the Bitters is a digital bitcrusher/ring modulator based on a 1990s Alesis multi-effect, and the Coriolis Effect is a filtered pitch shifter with no LFO that can instead freeze the signal.
